We are a group of students at McMaster University from diverse academic programs, united by a shared passion for scientific research. To spread this passion, we hope to bring scientists closer to students through their own life stories.
Our Mission
Want to know your prof better? From their first research grants and breakthrough ideas, to even how they met their spouse. Our show brings professors closer to students and sparks inspiration for you to build your own unique research path.

Dr. Leyla Soleymani
Dr. Soleymani is a professor of engineering physics at McMaster University. Her research integrates biosensors, microfluidics, and nanotechnology to develop rapid, low-cost diagnostic platforms for detecting infectious diseases and biomarkers. She focuses on translating fundamental discoveries into point-of-care tools that improve accessibility, clinical decision-making, and global health outcomes.
